KL cops issue over 4,000 summons on July 4 as part of ongoing traffic ops


KUALA LUMPUR: Over 4,000 summonses were issued by city police on Tuesday (July 4) as part of their ongoing traffic law compliance operations.

In a statement on Wednesday (July 5) night, Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst Comm Sarifudin Mohd Salleh said that 4,224 summonses were issued, with 2,844 given out for obstructing roads.

The operations on Tuesday also led to four narcotics related arrests, including one for possessing ketum water.
