EAGER to support her son’s dream of becoming a barber, a mother sold over RM10,000 worth of her jewellery to help the young man acquire enough start-up capital, reported Sinar Harian.
Fariza Ismail, 52, said that the dedication and enthusiasm shown by 26-year-old Muhammad Hilman Mohd Rosli had inspired her to financially support his dream of owning a barber shop.
“Despite originally studying in the automotive field, he really impressed me with his willingness to work part-time as a barber until 2am to learn the craft while also pursuing his studies.
“Seeing such commitment, I knew that he would definitely succeed, which is why I willingly gave up most of my jewellery to support his dream”.
After receiving his parent’s blessing and RM10,000 capital from his mother, Muhammad Hilman then opened his first barber shop in 2016 in Melaka.
Her son has since opened three other outlets in the state, added the proud mother.
> After being separated for 23 years, local actress Mawar Rashid finally reunited with her biological sister Aireen, reported Utusan Malaysia.
In an emotional post on her Instagram account, Mawar shared how she had lost contact with Aireen after her late father’s passing 23 years ago.
She explained that Aireen was a child from her father’s third marriage while her mother was her father’s second wife.
“I have never met my siblings from my father’s third wife before. Maybe I had seen them before but I forgot them because I was only five when my father passed away.
“Being able to hug, talk and get to know each other now has made me feel 1,001 emotions that cannot be put into words.
“Especially since Aireen’s face is very similar to our late father’s,” she wrote.
