Kindie break-in: Cops nab trio after car chase

IPOH: Three men were arrested following a car chase by the police in Sungai Siput on Sunday (July 9).

Sungai Siput OCPD Supt Mohd Khaizam Ahmad Shahabudin said the three men, aged between 20 and 29, were believed to have been involved in a break-in at a kindergarten in Taman Tun Sambanthan earlier that day.

Supt Mohd Khaizam said police received information about the burglary from the public and reacted swiftly by dispatching mobile patrol vehicles to the kindergarten before a chase ensued.

"We managed to seize several items, including a car, some electrical appliances, and tools we believe were used to commit the offence.

“The three men have been remanded until Friday (July 14) to facilitate investigations," he said in a statement on Wednesday (July 12).

Supt Mohd Khaizam also said a video of the car chase is being circulated on social media.

“As the investigation is ongoing, we hope no one will make speculations that could jeopardise the case,” he added.
