PUTRAJAYA: The Chinese national who was involved issued with a Not to Land notice at at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) left the country on July 4, says Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
The Home Minister, who dismissed a report that there was no record of her leaving the country, said the woman involved departed on Shenzhen Airlines flight ZH9030 at 8.55pm on July 4.
"The news report attempted to contradict a statement by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief commissioner who had said that (the woman and her boss) had left the country.
"There is, in fact, a record of the time and date of the individual's departure from Malaysia," he told reporters on Wednesday (July 12).
A Malay daily had quoted sources as saying that there was no record of the woman leaving the country.
The report claimed the woman, identified as Wang Xu, entered Malaysia on June 29 and had yet to return home.
However, the report can no longer be found on the daily's website.
On July 5, MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki had said that the two Chinese nationals involved in the commotion had returned home.
A traveller from China had alleged that she was held up by Immigration officers upon her arrival from Shenzhen on June 29.
She claimed that despite her travel documents being in order, she was denied entry by the officers.
She also alleged that she was asked to pay several thousand ringgit if she wanted to be allowed entry.
The woman had arrived in Malaysia with her superior, a senior official of a Chinese government-owned TV station.
