Cops investigating death of 10-year-old girl in HTAR

PETALING JAYA: Two police reports have been lodged over the death of a 10-year-old girl at the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) Klang.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said that the reports were made by the father of the deceased and representatives of the hospital.

Comm Hussein added that a detailed investigation would be conducted on the matter.

"The police have not infringed on anybody's rights while conducting investigations into this case.

"In addition, the police urge all to not speculate on the matter and to contact the police via investigation officer Natalia Allin at 03-5514 5222 or 019-6422 985, or their nearest police station," he said.

On Friday (July 14), HTAR director Dr Zulkarnain Mohd Rawi said the hospital would conduct an investigation into the recent death of a 10-year-old child while receiving treatment at the hospital.

This came after a video clip went viral on TikTok, where the girl’s father had claimed that she died while struggling as her blood was being drawn.

The girl was taken to the hospital on July 9 following fever and flu.
