Four thieves nabbed in Johor for house break-in cases


ISKANDAR PUTERI: The police have arrested four individuals, including a woman, believed to be involved in house break-in cases around the Iskandar Puteri area.

Iskandar Puteri OCPD Asst Comm Rahmat Ariffin said that the suspects, who were in their 30s, were arrested at about 6.30am on Saturday (July 15) around Johor Baru and Iskandar Puteri.

"Further checks found that three of the suspects have a total of 90 criminal records combined for crime and drugs cases. They were also on the wanted list.

"All four of the suspects also tested positive for methamphetamine," he said in a statement here.

He said that the case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for breaking into a house to commit burglary.

"We are still investigating what other cases the four individuals are involved in," he said.

He added that they are being remanded for days starting from Saturday (July 15).
