Three killed in Sibu 4WD accident


SIBU: Three people died while another was seriously injured when their four-wheel drive vehicle was involved in an accident at Jalan Deshon here on Sunday (July 16).

Sibu Fire and Rescue Department chief Andy Alie said it is believed that the vehicle went out of control, and crashed into a tree. It then fell into a drain.

"We received a distress call at 11.35am concerning an accident in Jalan Deshon.

"Two men and a woman were pronounced dead by paramedics. Another adult female sustained serious injuries. She had been rushed to the hospital," he said.
