Sanusi's charge a lesson for all to respect the law, says PAS MP

SELAYANG: The charge brought against caretaker Kedah mentri besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor is a lesson for not only political leaders but the whole population on respecting the law, says his PAS colleague.

“This includes another case (that touches on 3R or race, religion and royalty) involving (DAP chairman) Lim Guan Eng,” Pendang MP Datuk Awang Solahuddin Hashim told reporters outside the Selayang Court Complex on Tuesday (July 18).

Muhammad Sanusi had earlier been charged there under the Sedition Act 1948.

Awang said the legal process must be respected by everyone.

“He (Muhammad Sanusi) has apologised for his remarks but there were reports lodged and the legal process had already started, which we should respect.

“We’re here to show solidarity with him, especially with the (six) state elections drawing near,” he said.

Also seen at the court complex were Besut MP Datuk Che Mohamad Zulkifly and incumbent Jerlun assemblyman Dr Abd Ghani Ahmad.
