QUEEN of jazz Datuk Sheila Majid (pic), 57, has no plans on becoming a judge on any singing reality show as she is too busy with her career, Harian Metro reported.
Sheila said she had other commitments, especially on weekends.
“As a singer, I usually work on weekends so it wouldn’t be nice to take up the role of a judge and then leave halfway because of other commitments.
“I don’t only have concerts in Malaysia but overseas as well,” she told reporters during an ‘Icon Meet Icon’ event.
Sheila said one did not need to sign up as a judge to impart knowledge to aspiring singers.
“I have my own principles and I often post on Instagram to give my advice,” she said.
The songstress best known for hits like Sinaran, Antara Anyir dan Jakarta, Legenda and Dia, also confessed to not having watched any singing reality shows lately.
“As I grow older, my priorities change and I often fill my time with more productive activities rather than watching TV,” said Sheila, who admitted to being a fan of such shows when she was younger.
> Popular actor Fadlan Hazim is now officially “off the market” after tying the knot with his partner from Kazakhstan, Aiya Mukhamedsalova, reported Sinar Harian.
The couple’s akad nikah or marriage solemnisation ceremony was held on Sunday at the Federal Territories Mosque, attended by family and close friends.
Fadlan, 31, had given mas kahwin or obligatory gift in the form of a ring as well as five trays of presents to his bride.
However, the couple decided to keep the amount of money sent as wang hantaran or dowry a secret.
Fadlan, who is known for his role in local action movies such as Sniper and KL Gangster: Underground, and Aiya first announced their engagement on Oct 1 last year.
