KOTA KINABALU: A rubber tapper was found dead with suspected snake bite wounds at a plantation in Sabah’s Keningau district.

The 36-year-old victim was found by lifeless by villagers who then alerted the police of the discovery at Kampung Bunang Ulu Sook.

Keningau Police Chief Deputy Supt Nor Rafidah Kasim said a team was deployed to the area following the call at 8am last July 13.

She said the victim was lying on the ground with a grass cutting machine not far from him.

He was believed to have gone to the plantation to tap rubber as well as trim grass there the day before.
