Man killed after car rams into tree while fleeing accident scene in Puchong


PUCHONG: A 42-year-old man was killed after his car rammed into a tree while fleeing from an accident where he allegedly crashed into a motorcycle and another vehicle.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said the incident occurred at around 7.30pm on Sunday (July 23)

"We received information that a motorist died following a multi-vehicle collision near Bulatan Puchong Prima,” he said.

ACP Wan Azlan said that checks found that a a motorist driving a Perodua Viva crashed into a Proton Wira and a motorcycle.

"The driver of the Perodua sped off and crashed along Jalan Desa Millenia when he was trying to maneuver a sharp corner," he told reporters on Monday (July 24).

He said the car crashed into a tree and the male driver died at the scene.

"The motorcyclist and his pillion rider managed to escape with only minor injuries.

"We have taken blood and urine samples from the deceased to establish if he was intoxicated prior to the incident," he added.
