Political leaders from all sides pay last respects to Salahuddin


PONTIAN: Political leaders from all sides of the divide have made their way to Kampung Serkat here to pay their last respects to the late Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub.

Among those who have arrived at Masjid Jamek Dato' Haji Noh Gadot include Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng, Johor PAS commissioner Abdullah Husin, PKR communications director Fahmi Fadzil and Muda deputy president Amira Aisya Abd Aziz.

Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi and state secretary Tan Sri Azmi Rohani have also arrived at the mosque here.

Other who have arrived include Deputy Local Government Development Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, Deputy International Trade and Industry Minister Liew Chin Tong and Deputy Communications and Digital Minister Teo Nie Ching.

They were greeted by Parti Amanah Negara president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and Salahuddin's family members.

It is also learnt that Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has arrived in Johor and is on his way to the mosque.
