SEREMBAN: The Negri Sembilan DAP named its candidates for the Aug 12 state polls on Sunday night (July 23) with 10 of the 11 incumbents set to be fielded again.
State DAP chief Anthony Loke Siew Fook who made the announcements, was set to defend Chennah which he first won in the 2013 election.
Loke was the longest serving assemblyman in the group. He served his first term in 2004 after winning the Lobak state seat.
Rahang's incumbent Mary Jospehine Prittam Singh had earlier agreed to make way for a new face.
State deputy chief P. Gunasekaren was set to defend Seremban Jaya, vice-chairman Teo Kok Seong would again be standing in Bahau, S. Veerapan has been given the mandate to defend Repah, Yap Yew Weng in Mambau while Ng Chin Tsai would be fielded in Temiang.
All five would be bidding to serve their fourth term.
State organising secretary J. Arul Kumar would contest in Nilai, Chew Seh Yong in Lobak, Nicole Tan Lee Koon in Bukit Kepayang and Choo Ken Hwa would defend Lukut.
Arul and Chew would be vying for their third term while Tan and Choo would be going for their second.
State party treasurer Desmond Siau Meow Kong would make his debut in Rahang, replacing Mary Josephine.
