Three Penampang Chinese organisations allocated funds to carry out activities


KOTA KINABALU: Three Chinese organisations in the Penampang district were given a boost of funds when MP Datuk Ewon Benedick (pic) approved a RM49,680 Parliamentary allocation for them recently.

The associations were the Board of Management for SJK © Yue Min Penampang, Chinese Welfare Association, and the Kwan Shing Tee Kuan temple.

"These allocations are for the recipients to carry out their activities and other necessities including building upgrading works," he said in a statement, Monday (July 24).

Benedick said Sekolah SJK(C) Yue Min Penampang received RM30,000 for the school hall upgrading works, while the Kwan Shing Tee Kuan temple got RM9680 for the purchase of tables, chairs and fans.

"We also present RM10,000 to the Penampang Chinese Welfare Association for their charity programme this July 29," he said.

The Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives minister presented these money when representatives from the three associations paid him a courtesy call at his parliamentary office on Monday.
