Life-threatening experience for six at Kudat beach


KOTA KINABALU: Six people who were having an outing at a beach in Simpang Mengayau, Kudat here faced a life threatening experience.

According to a Fire and Rescue Department spokesman, a team was sent to the location after receiving a report that four people had gone missing at 7.16pm on Tuesday (July 25).

The spokesman said three victims were taken to a nearby hospital by the time rescuers arrived, while another three were found safe.

"After ensuring no more risks, the operation ended at 8.08pm," said the spokesman.

No further details about the victims were obtained.
