Kedah Pakatan, BN to launch manifesto on July 27

ALOR SETAR: Kedah Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan are set to launch its manifesto on Thursday (July 27), says Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid (pic).

The Kedah unity government council chairman said the manifesto, which will cover all levels of society including fishermen, padi farmers, rubber tappers, tourism sector, youth and women, would be able to bring stability to Kedah and protect the well-being of the people.

"There will be many things presented in the manifesto. It will touch on matters that will benefit the rakyat as a whole because the current state government not only failed but did not do anything," he said in a statement on Tuesday (July 25).

The former Padang Terap MP also slammed caretaker Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Noor for not doing anything and only knew how to comment on other people.

He said to be a leader, one has to be serious because between the state leadership and the people, there are government officers who have been given the responsibility to conduct programmes for state development.

"But if you are not serious and do not have the innovation and creativity, what can the officers implement?" he said after chairing the council meeting at the Umno headquarters here in Alor Setar.

He said the manifesto would be launched at the Bandar Laguna Merbok car park at 9pm on Thursday (July 27).

He added that all candidates from Barisan and Pakatan would be introduced to the public on the same stage.
