MACC nabs 'Datuk' concert organiser


PETALING JAYA: A "Datuk", who is a concert organiser, has been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

The suspect is believed to have been arrested over links to questionable funds amounting to RM500mil.

Sinar Harian, quoting sources, said that the 42-year-old was arrested on Tuesday (July 25) after being called by the MACC to assist investigations.

Two other suspects were also arrested.

The report added that the suspects are being investigated under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act (Amla) 2001.

Efforts to get official confirmation from the MACC are ongoing.
