Form 3 student alleges bullying by Form 5 senior in Ipoh

IPOH: A Form 3 student was reportedly bullied by his senior at a secondary school in Gunung Rapat here.

State Education Committee chairman Khairudin Abu Hanipah said a police report had been lodged in Kuala Lumpur by the student’s caretaker on Monday (July 24).

“The matter is still being investigated by the police. From what I’ve been told, the Form 3 student was bullied by his senior, a Form 5 student.

“We are still unsure about his injuries, but it is believed that he was kicked by the senior,” he told reporters at the state secretariat building here on Wednesday (July 26)

Khairudin said the victim is currently resting at his home.

“The school has followed the standard operating procedure and is investigating the matter as well.

“Both of them are school athletes playing sepak takraw,” he added.
