Academic standards and facilities of TAR UMT will continue to be upgraded, says Dr Wee


PETALING JAYA: More are yet to come for Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT), says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president said the decades-old institutional icon's would continue to receive upgrades on both academic quality and facilities for the benefit of the students.

He said TAR UMT, which was promoted to university-status last year, received continuous recognition from the public.

"This year alone, the number of new enrolments has increased over 1,000.

“We will continue to upgrade both the software and the facilities of the university so that our students will have an enriching university experience," he wrote in a Facebook post, after chairing a meeting of TAR UMT Board of Trustees on Thursday (July 27).

Dr Wee also shared that he remains committed to ensuring the growth of the local educational institution.

"My best wishes for the university as it continues to grow and educate generations of students who will contribute to nation building," he added.
