IPOH: Police here are looking for a group of people involved in a fight along a road near Tanjung Rambutan that took place at 5:30pm on Thursday (July 27).
Ipoh OCPD ACP Yahaya Hassan said that a 16-second video of the fight had gone viral on WhatsApp.
“The group used rattan canes during the fight. Five people have been identified as being involved in the fight that happened at Batu 8 on Jalan Tanjung Rambutan-Tambun,” he said.
ACP Yahaya added that the case is investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for rioting using a weapon, saying that the cause of the fight is being investigated and suspects are being hunted down.
“Those with information on the case, or those who witnessed the fight have been urged to come forward to help the police,” he said.
