IT was all very appetising to some to have shirtless, muscular men who not only danced erotically, but fed guests mouth-to-mouth, until authorities caught wind of the dining debauchery and shut it down at a restaurant in Yunnan’s Xishuangbann.
According to major dailies, the Taigu Taigu restaurant, in the city bordering Myanmar and Laos, opened its doors in February.
In late April, the operator began hiring attractive and physically fit men who were at least 180cm tall.
Since then, the restaurant had been consistently filled to capacity.
However, authorities were soon informed of this and a team spent nearly a week gathering information about the inappropriate conduct on the second floor of the restaurant.
They found a huge signboard on the ground level that read “For hunks, head up here”.
The Thai-themed restaurant had its licence suspended for violating the Regulations on the Administration of Commercial Performances.
> Nanyang Siang Pau reported that stray cats had been blamed for the deaths of two newborns in separate incidents in India’s Uttar Pradesh state.
According to police, a mother from the northern Budaun city had put her less-than-two-week-old fraternal twins to bed before attending to house chores.
She was startled when she heard crying and was shocked to discover a stray cat on the roof, carrying one of her babies in its mouth.
“When it jumped down, my boy fell onto the ground,” said the mother.
She added that her son was pronounced dead at the hospital.
