PJD Link project scrapped, says caretaker Selangor MB

PETALING JAYA: The Selangor government has decided to scrap the Petaling Jaya Dispersal Link (PJD Link Expressway) development project, says caretaker mentri besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.

"The proposed PJD Link Expressway did not fulfil the conditions laid out by the Selangor Government, mainly in areas on the possible social impact of the development," he said in a statement issued to the media on Monday (July 31).

He added that the Selangor Government has no intention to proceed with the development and has decided to scrap the proposal made by the PJD Link project developers.

The PJD Link is a proposed 25.4km dual-lane tolled elevated expressway connecting Damansara to Bandar Kinrara.

It would have gone past several areas in Petaling Jaya, including Jalan Penchala and Jalan Utara.
