Kelantan govt denies unfair distribution of flood aid

KOTA BARU: The PAS-led Kelantan government has denied claims that it was unfair in distributing flood aid to victims.

Caretaker Kelantan Mentri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yaakob (pic) said they had distributed the funds equally to the people without fear or favour.

"The state disaster management committee said we had distributed the funds to every flood victim listed without favouring anyone.

"The ones who moved out of their homes got it earlier while the ones who didn't were the last to receive it," he said during the launch of Perikatan Nasional's state election manifesto on Monday (July 31).

On Saturday (July 29), Amanah Pengkalan Pasir candidate Rushdan Mustafa said the RM50mil in flood aid recently given by the Federal Government had not been distributed equally as it was mainly given to PAS supporters.

On Sunday (July 30), Dr Hafidzah Mustakim, the Amanah candidate in Kota Lama, agreed with Rushdan.
