Sanusi says Chinese national was in Malaysia before he became Kedah MB

ALOR SETAR: Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail's claim that I brought in a Chinese national into the country is defamatory, says Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.

The caretaker Kedah mentri besar said the Chinese national concerned, So Loi Fat, was already in the country way before he became mentri besar.

"He was already here. How can he (Saifuddin) say I was the one who brought So in," he said after the Sembang Santai programme at Alor Malai Flat here on Wednesday (August 2).

So has been linked to the theft of rare earth elements (REE) and owns Prospek Suria, which entered into a joint venture with Kedah Mentri Besar Incorporated (MBI) for REE exploration in Bukit Enggang Forest, Sik.

Muhammad Sanusi said it is not odd for So, as a businessman, to come to Malaysia.

The Jeneri PAS candidate also said another legal suit could be filed against Saifuddin if he continues to spread alleged untruths about him and the state government.

Muhammad Sanusi, who is also Perikatan Nasional election director, said the two PAS members who went rogue by contesting as independents in Langkawi, had been issued letters expelling both of them from the party.

The duo concerned are Langkawi PAS deputy chief Mazlan Ahmad, who is standing as an independent candidate for the Kuah seat and Langkawi PAS Youth wing treasurer Safwan Hanif Shafie, who filed his nomination for the Ayer Hangat seat.
