A 90-YEAR-OLD Japanese woman has proven that age is just a number as she still works as a cleaner at a McDonald’s outlet in Kumamoto City, Japan.

Sin Chew Daily reported that the nonagenarian works three hours a day, five days a week at the outlet.

Her shift begins at 7.30am and ends at 10.30am.

She has not taken leave for the past 23 years.

The woman said she decided to rejoin the workforce soon after retiring as a cleaner at a private university.

She was 67 at the time.

The woman said she was glad to be able to meet and talk to people from different backgrounds at the workplace, adding that her motivation went up when the patrons expressed gratitude for her work.

Besides work, the woman also does gardening and keeps herself abreast of news by watching television.

> China Press reported that Taiwanese sentimental singer Terry Lin Chih Hsuan tripped over his own feet while performing in Hefei, Anhui province, China.

The incident happened at the end of his One Take 2.0 concert on July 29, as Lin, 57, was running from one corner to the other on stage to thank his fans.

Lin, who was wearing baggy pants, managed to pick himself up after the fall, much to the relief of his fans.

After the concert, he posted on his social media: “I am fine and there is nothing to be worried about.” Good Night.”

Lin gained fame from participating in the “I Am A Singer” competition organised by Hunan Television for established performers.

He will be performing at the Arena of Stars at Genting Highlands on Oct 14.
