Quick action by police saves woman’s life


SEREMBAN: Swift action by the police saved a young woman who was about to fall from the fifth floor of a shopping complex near here.

Seremban OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said police were notified about the matter at around 10pm on Wednesday (Aug 2).

"When my men reached there, they saw a girl on the ledge at the fifth floor of the building," he said in a statement on Friday (Aug 4).

ACP Arifai said Jalan Campbell station chief Insp Adi Khusaini Saripudin managed to grab the 20-year-old and prevent her from falling.

"She was later sent to the hospital," he said.

He appealed to witnesses or anyone with information on the woman to contact Insp Adi Khusaini at 012-7707282 or the station at 06-763 2722 to assist in investigations.
