State polls: MCA helping with campaign in Rantau, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: MCA is contributing in the ongoing state polls as a Barisan Nasional component party, meeting with voters in Rantau on Friday (Aug 4) night.

Its party president Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong shared photos of the campaign trail in Negri Sembilan in support of his comrade, Barisan deputy chairman and incumbent Rantau state assemblyman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

“As you know he is ordered to rest by doctors because he is infected with influenza and has a cough," said Dr Wee about Mohamad, also known as Tok Mat.

“There is no denying that Tok Mat contributed a lot to the Rantau state assembly, and he had brought rapid developments to the state, especially when he was the Mentri Besar.

I hope that the voters can continue their strong support for him on polling day come August 12," added Dr Wee

Dr Wee urged the voters to give Tok Mat the mandate, so that he can protect and defend the fate of the people of Rantau.

Wee told this to some 400 voters who attended the dinner on Friday night

Present at the event with Wee were MCA Deputy Treasurer General Datuk Ir. Lawrence Low, MCA Seremban division cum National Organisation Deputy Secretary Leaw Kok Chan and Negri Sembilan MCA Chairman Siow Koi Voon, among others.

Also present at the event were MCA Central Committee Member cum MCA Rasah Division Chairman Yap Siok Moy, Rembau Division Chairman Chow Kam Sang and MCA Jelebu Division Chairman Roger Seet.
