State polls: Pakatan ceramah featuring Sanusi's younger brother cancelled due to civil servant status

ALOR SETAR: The scheduled Pakatan Harapan ceramah featuring the younger brother of caretaker Kedah mentri besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor in Kampung Alor Senibong has been cancelled.

Saidi Adnan Md Nor was supposed to attend the programme organised by Pakatan's candidate for Bukit Pinang Hadzir Md Zain from PKR.

An aide to Hadzir when contacted said the reason why Saidi Adnan cannot attend the programme was because of his current responsibilities as a lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) in Manjung Perak.

"I am afraid that he cannot make it, he is a civil servant so he can't be at a political event," he said.

His public outing was something that had been anticipated after he was criticised by his brother for being too much in favour of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

In a ceramah recently, Muhammad Sanusi claimed that their father had asked his younger brother to change his "bin" for not being on the same side as PAS.

Saidi Adnan was the former Perak Malaysian Islamic Youth Movement (Abim) chief and is also A freelance speaker and religious teacher in Perak.
