> After a pair of newly-weds and their families completed the Aadi Perukku rituals and left, a temple in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan, had to clean up the mess they left behind, Makkal Osai reported.
The festival, which falls on the fourth month of the Tamil calendar Aadi, sees newly-weds release sacred flower garlands used during their weddings into rivers or other water bodies. The garlands thrown into the sea would be washed up on the beach after some time.
