State polls: Kuala Pilah cops receive two reports on pig heads dumped at Perikatan candidate's office, house


JELEBU: Two police reports have been received by the Kuala Pilah police over pig heads being dumped at Perikatan Nasional’s Juasseh candidates office and a private residence on Wednesday (Aug 9).

Kuala Pilah OCPD Supt Amran Mohd Gani said the pig heads were found at the candidate's office and a house in Kampung Sawah Lebar Seberang, Kuala Pilah.

“Two police reports were lodged. One was for the dumping outside the Perikatan premises in Juasseh with the incident occurring at about 7.45am.

“Another police report was lodged by a man, who is the Kuala Pilah Perikatan information chief, over the incident that occurred in front of his house,” he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Supt Amran said the case is being investigated under Section 504 of the Penal Code and 4A (1) of the Election Offences Act 1954.

Under Section 504 of the Penal Code, the perpetrator if found guilty can be imprisoned for a period of two years, a fine or both.

Under 4A(1) of the Election Offences Act 1954, any person shall be liable, on conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to a fine not exceeding ten thousand ringgit or to both.

Earlier Wednesday, a pig’s head was found dumped in front of Perikatan’s Juasseh candidate Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith’s office in Juasseh.
