Batu Gajah cops hunting for suspect in boutique robbery


IPOH: Batu Gajah police have launched a manhunt for a robbery suspect who struck at a boutique there on Wednesday (Aug 9).

Batu Gajah OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif said the suspect fled with money and jewellery worth about RM7,000 at about 3.30pm.

"The suspect is slim and of average height.

"The suspect wore a grey-coloured long-sleeve shirt, black long pants, black motorcycle helmet with tinted visor and white shoes," he said in a statement on Thursday (Aug 10), adding that the robber was believed to be a man.

"Those with information are urged to come forward by contacting investigating officer Insp Nurhidayah Omar at 013-397 6564 or the district police control centre at 05-365 4322 or 362 9050 to help with the investigations under Section 392 of the Penal Code (for robbery)," he added.
