HONG Kong singer and actress Joyce Cheng (pic), who has been suffering from depression, was photographed with fans at a restaurant after staying out of the public eye for four months, Sin Chew Daily reported.
On Tuesday, a fan posted on her Weibo account a photo taken with the 36-year-old who appeared to be slimmer but looked healthy and cheerful.
Weibo users said it was good to see her recovering from her illness.
Cheng had missed out on several award presentations earlier this year and had reportedly stopped taking up new jobs for months. Her disappearance had even sparked talk that she had died.
Following the death of Coco Lee last month, Coco’s elder sister Nancy said Coco had worried about Cheng, who was believed to be facing depression as well.
Last month, Cheng’s boyfriend Benjamin Steven uploaded a video of her playing music while singing her song One Day I’ll Be OK.
> China Press reported Canadian actress Christy Chung and her husband Shawn Zhang as dismissing claims they were divorced.
Chung posted a screenshot of a letter from their lawyer saying that they would take legal action against those who spread “fake news” of their divorce.
Zhang also posted photos of the family on vacation in Italy.
“Today the fake news emerged again. Isn’t it an offence to spread fake news?” he wrote on his Weibo account.
“Please do not ruin our beautiful life,” Chung added.
Chung has a daughter Yasmine from her first marriage to Glen Ross in 1998.
She gave birth to two more daughters, Jaden Chloe and Cayla Janie, from her second marriage to Jon Yen in 2003.
In November 2016, she married Chinese actor Zhang, who is 12 years her junior.
