State polls: BN candidate says positive vibes among voters

GOMBAK: There are good and positive vibes among voters as polling day has reached the halfway mark, says Selangor Umno chief Datuk Megat Zulkarnain Omardin.

He said that most voters have already made up their mind and are coming out to exercise their right to vote.

“You will know when the atmosphere is good. Most want a state government that will bring stability and prosperity,” he said after casting his ballot at the SK Taman Seri Gombak 2 polling centre on Saturday (Aug 12).

Megat Zulkarnain, who is the Barisan Nasional candidate for the Gombak Setia seat, urged voters to head out to vote before the 6pm deadline.

“This is our duty which only comes every five years. Do not waste your ballot as it will also determine your future.”

Megat is facing Perikatan Nasional’s incumbent Hilman Idham and an Independent candidate.

There are 88,480 total voters in Gombak Setia.
