State polls: BN’s Mahdzir expresses gratitude for smooth polling day


ALOR SETAR: Barisan Nasional's Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid and his wife Datin Seri Noraini Abdullah have cast their votes at SK Naka.

The Pedu candidate arrived with his wife at about 9.30am on Saturday (Aug 12).

Clad in bluish matching attire, Mahdzir greeted the voters and staff members at the polling centre as he checked his name in the electoral roll.

The couple completed the voting process at about 9.50am.

When approached by reporters, Mahdzir expressed his gratitude that the polling process is going smoothly.

"I am satisfied with the way this election is being conducted, so far so good," he said.

He urged voters to come out early to vote and fulfill their obligation as citizens.
