State polls: Pakatan retains Pilah seat in Negri


KUALA PILAH: Pakatan Harapan has retained the Pilah state seat in Kuala Pilah, Negri Sembilan.

In a neck and neck race, Pakatan’s Noorzunita Begum Mohd Ibrahim beat Perikatan Nasional’s Rafiei Mustapha by a majority of 1,079 votes.

Noorzunita Begum, who is the state PKR women’s wing chief, garnered 6,222 votes while Rafiei, who is the state PAS commissioner, received 5,143 votes.

There are a total of 17,692 voters in the constituency.
