AMPANG: Rapper Syed Ahmad, also known as Altimet, won the N20 Lembah Jaya state seat with 26,172 votes, beating Perikatan Nasional candidate from PAS Sharifah Haslizah Syed Ariffin or Cikgu Sharifah, who garnered 19,852 votes.
Altimet led with a 6,320 majority in the state polls.
Returning officer Zafrul Fazry Mohd Fauzi announced the official results at Dewan MPAJ Kampung Pandan Indah, Selangor on Saturday (Aug 12).
Sharifah Haslizah is Ampang PAS information chief and former councillor with the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ).
