KUALA PILAH: Seize the opportunity and exercise your right to vote, says Datuk Eddin Syazlee Shith to voters.

The Perikatan Nasional candidate for the Juasseh state seat said voters should use the opportunity to translate how they feel into the ballot paper.

“Take this chance to translate whatever feelings you have through your vote. Do come out and vote,” he told reporters when met while visiting the SK Tunku Munawir state seat on Saturday (Aug 12).

He added that there was also heavier traffic in Kuala Pilah over the past few days.

“This could signify that more people want to come back to vote and exercise their responsibilities,” he added.

Eddin Syazlee is in a straight fight against Barisan Nasional’s Puan Sri Bibi Sharliza Mohd Khalid for the Juasseh state seat.

Observations at voting centres located in SK Pelangai and SK Tunku Munawir here saw a steady stream of residents coming to cast their votes as early as 8am when the voting centres opened.

Most were senior citizens, with a handful of youths.

The footfall, however, slowed down as of 11.45am, with officials here expecting turnout to pick up speed later in the day.
