Turning the polls into a fashion runway

CAMPAIGNING and ceramah in the run-up to the six state elections may have been ho-hum, but a fashion design graduate from UiTM Seri Iskandar livened things up by creating outfits out of the flags of political parties.

Harian Metro reported that Mohd Zulwafi Ahmad Rosli designed his own outfits and modelled them for a series of TikTok videos.

The 29-year-old from Tanah Merah in Kelantan said he collected the flags on his way home and would then sit down to sketch the designs.

“I started making outfits out of party flags during the 15th General Election (GE15) last year. In fact, I came up with nine outfits.

“The one that got the most attention is the bridal wear made out of 22m of PAS flags,” he said.

> Najwa Mahiaddin’s singing career took a backseat due to her commitment as a mother.

The 37-year-old told Berita Harian that she has not quit the industry altogether, but slowed down when it comes to work to devote more time to her two-year-old daughter Kaleela.

“Most of my time goes towards raising Kaleela. I don’t have a nanny and I manage all matters related to my child on my own,” she said.
