KOTA BARU: Wait until Tuesday (Aug 15) to find out who the new Kelantan Mentri Besar and his deputy are, says Datuk Ahmad Yakob.
The caretaker Kelantan mentri besar said he was not able to comment on the matter until then.
"Wait for the swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday to find out who they are," he told reporters when met at the Mentri Besar's residence here.
On Saturday (Aug 13), Ahmad told reporters that the PAS president will choose at least three candidates and give their names to the Sultan of Kelantan.
On Friday (Aug 11), Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan had said PAS will propose the posts of Mentri Besar and his deputy to be someone with a religious background and the other a technocrat.
However, the PAS secretary-general acknowledged this would depend on the mandate from the voters and remained the prerogative of Kelantan Ruler Sultan Muhammad V.
