State polls: Anwar thanks voters for fulfilling civic duty


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim thanks all voters for fulfilling their civic duty in the six state elections and the Kuala Terengganu by-election on Saturday (Aug 12).

In a post on his official Facebook page, the Prime Minister, who is also Pakatan Harapan chairman, said he would remember the support shown for the unity government.

"Thank you to all voters in Selangor, Negri Sembilan, Penang, Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah. I appreciate it and I will not forget your support," he said in his Facebook post Sunday (Aug 13).

The results of the Aug 12 state elections saw the Pakatan-Barisan Nasional unity pact winning in Selangor, Negri Sembilan and Penang.

Perikatan Nasional, meanwhile, won in Kelantan, Kedah and Terengganu. - Bernama
