State polls: Barisan takes Dusun Tua with 26,755 votes

HULU LANGAT: Former Semenyih assemblyman Datuk Johan Abdul Aziz from Barisan Nasional clinched the Dusun Tua seat with a 3,014 majority over Perikatan Nasional and Muda candidates.

Johan led with 26,755 votes, Perikatan's Azhar attracted 23,741 and Muda's Al Hafiz trailed behind with 3,110 votes.

Instead of a lengthy official statement, Johan's video of him breaking into a smile while on his way to the vote counting centre at SMA Batu 10, said it all.

Above the video was a simple caption that read, "Thank you, Dusun Tua".

Johan is a familiar face in Dusun Tua after having spent close to two months organising the distribution of cleaning machinery and food aid to victims in the aftermath of the 2021 floods.
