State polls: New Kelantan MB chosen, says Takiyuddin

KOTA BARU: The PAS leadership has finally chosen a new Kelantan Mentri Besar, says party secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan.

Without revealing the identity of the new MB, the Kota Baru MP said the name will be submitted to the Sultan of Kelantan on Monday (Aug 14).

He said the swearing-in ceremony is expected to be held on Tuesday (Aug 15).

"We will submit the name of the person we believe is suitable to be the new MB. Following that, we will have the swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday (Aug 15) at 3pm," he told reporters when met at the Kelantan MB’s official residence here on Sunday (Aug 13).

After the swearing-in ceremony, he said the new MB will present 10 names to the Sultan to be chosen as the state's new executive council members.

Out of the 10 names, Takiyuddin said the Sultan will choose one to be appointed as the new deputy MB.
