Shah Alam flash floods: Internet users share images, videos of aftermath


PETALING JAYA: Flash floods were reported in various areas of Shah Alam, mainly Section 13, on Wednesday (Aug 16) following a downpour.

Footage posted on social media shows roads and vehicles being inundated by muddy rainwater although the rain seems to have abated.

Voluntary efforts to extract vehicles from flooded areas are also underway by good samaritans around the Shah Alam stadium.

In one of the videos, the voice of a man can be heard expressing frustration at several official-looking vehicles that passed by the area only to record without helping.

"They're just recording. Just record and that's it.

"We are currently trying to get cars and motorcycles out. That's all we can do for now," said the video posted by X (formerly known as Twitter) user @ZumieTGM.
