Two killed after trailer crashes through divider near Tapah

IPOH: Two people were killed after a trailer crashed through the divider in the middle of the road and rammed into two other vehicles at KM317 northbound of` the North-South Expressway near Chenderiang, Tapah.

Perak police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the 31-year-old driver of the trailer, which was carrying cement, died on the spot in the incident at about 5.30pm on Wednesday (Aug 16).

"A 67-year-old man driving another trailer that was carrying watermelons was also killed. A woman who was driving a four-wheel-drive vehicle suffered injuries to her face," he said in a statement.
