K-POP sensation Lalisa “Lisa” Manoban from Blackpink has made it to the 2023 Instagram Rich List, reported Sin Chew Daily.

According to a social media marketing solution company, HopperHQ, Lisa, who is ranked 26th, is the only K-pop star to make it to the list.

Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo topped the list with 596 million Instagram fans, making his average cost per advertising post to be about US$3.23mil (RM15mil).

This is followed by another football star Lionel Messi, pop singer Selena Gomez, entrepreneur Kylie Jenner and actor Dwayne Johnson.

For Lisa, she is expected to earn US$575,000 (RM2.66mil) for an advertising post in Instagram.

Among the Blackpink members, Lisa has the most Instagram fans with 96 million followers.

This is followed by Jennie with 80 million fans, Jisoo with 75 million fans and Rose with 73 million fans. Blackpink’s contract with YG Entertainment is about to expire and whether the four Blackpink members will renew their contract has been the talk of the town of late.

> China Press reported that a man in Bandung, Indonesia, who robbed a woman of her purse with 7,500 Indonesian rupiah (RM2.27) in it, might now be sentenced to nine years in jail.

The man had snatched the woman’s handbag and injured her neck while she was walking in the city.

Bandung police said the man had watched the woman put cash in her handbag before making his move. It was believed that he had wanted to buy alcohol with the stolen money.

> The Chinese daily also reported that a 78-year-old man in Tokyo, Japan, had been using toilet paper to create artworks such as underwater worlds, ancient castles and zoos.

He even showcases his works on Instagram, with the number of views having exceeded 25 million so far.

The man started the hobby eight years ago when a friend complained that he could not enjoy the cherry blossoms due to his leg pain.

This sparked the idea of creating a handmade cherry blossom.

Using water, glue and paint, he has produced more than 1,000 art works thus far.

This is despite him not having any background in art, with the man confessing to making his artworks through trial and error.
