Elmina crash: P-hailing rider's remains buried after funeral prayers in Sungai Petani


SUNGAI PETANI: The remains of p-hailing rider, Muhamad Hafiz Muhamad Salleh, were buried at Kampung Jerong Muslim Cemetery here on Saturday (Aug 19).

The hearse ferrying his remains arrived at Masjid Al Huda at about 3pm.

The funeral proceeded with prayers before his remains were brought to the cemetery behind the mosque.

On Aug 17, Muhamad Hafiz was killed in a plane crash incident on Guthrie Highway at Elmina, Shah Alam.

The delivery rider was passing by the area and was killed along with car driver, Sharipuddin Shaari, when the plane crashed.

Among the dead was first-term Pelangai state assemblyman and Pahang exco member Datuk Seri Johari Harun.

The others were pilots Shahrul Kamal Roslan and Heikal Aras Abdul Azim; passengers Kharil Azwan Jamaludin, Shaharul Amir Omar, Mohamad Naim Fawwaz Mohamed Muaidi, Muhammad Taufiq Mohd Zaki and Idris Abdol Talib @ Ramali.
