Rakan Muda programme on track to one million youth target

JOHOR BARU: The new Rakan Muda programme is expected to achieve its target of getting one million youth participants by the end of this year, says Adam Adli Abd Halim.

The Deputy Youth and Sports Minister said they had conducted various programmes for youth groups and NGOs since it was reintroduced in June this year.

"We have organised weekly programmes in every district in every state. So far, everything has been running smoothly.

"Some of the biggest contributors in terms of more participation were the Fit Malaysia programme and the new Sekolah Rukun Negara initiative," he said after the officiating ceremony of the Judo Youth National Championships 2023 at Plaza Pelangi here on Saturday (Aug 19).

Adam Adli said that close cooperation between NGOs and youth associations also played an important role in speeding up the registration of participants.
