Student arrested after scuffle at Bukit Antarabangsa

KUALA LUMPUR: A scuffle between two motorcyclists has landed one suspect in police custody after he punched the victim.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail, in a statement, said the incident occurred on Aug 17 at around 11.30pm at a road corner in Taman Kelab Ukay, Bukit Antarabangsa.

"The victim, 21, was on his way home when the suspect had arrived from the opposite side to scold him for not using his motorcycle lights. An argument ensued between the two.

"The suspect then punched the face and left eye of the victim. Another punch landed on his right eye, causing his glasses to break and bruises around the eye," ACP Mohd Azam said on Saturday (Aug 19).

Investigations into the case led to the arrest of a 20-year-old student at the Ampang Jaya police headquarters.

"He has been remanded for four days, starting Aug 19," ACP Mohd Azam added.
