KUALA LUMPUR: Besides policemen and two DPPs, 103 patrons of an entertainment outlet in Seremban were also detained in a raid on Saturday (Aug 19).
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay said that police also detained 52 men and 51 women in the raid.
He said the men detained were 51 locals and a Myanmar national.
"We also detained 19 Vietnamese women, 17 Chinese women, nine Thai women, three Indonesian women and three local women. Those detained tested positive for drugs," he told reporters at the Raudatul Sakinah cemetery on Sunday (Aug 20).
The Deputy IGP attended the funeral of Datuk Seri Johari Harun, who was killed in the aircraft crash at Elmina, Shah Alam on Thursday (Aug 17).
Ayob Khan said a police officer and 14 personnel had been suspended for testing positive for drugs.
"We will take disciplinary action against the personnel who tested negative as he had flouted the force's rules and regulations by partying at the outlet.
"We will hand over the two DPPs to the Attorney General's Chambers for further action," he said.
It was reported that a police officer, 14 personnel and two DPPs were detained following a raid by the Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS) at about 2.40am at a KTV in Wisma Punca Emas, Jalan Dato Sheikh Ahmad, Seremban.
