Dr Wee: Patriotism of Sabahans is commendable


PETALING JAYA: Sabahans are highly patriotic, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong who is currently in the state.

He said that it was his first experience handing out Jalur Gemilang in Sabah amid the National Month celebration this year.

"This is my first experience handing out flags to celebrate the Independence month in Sabah. I can see how high the patriotic spirit of the community is here.

"This morning, I also had breakfast with grassroots leaders from all over Sabah at Sandakan Kopitiam Ridgeview Park in Kota Kinabalu. It's really beautiful in the morning here," the Ayer Itam MP said on Sunday (Aug 20).

Dr Wee also distributed the state flags to the public while spending time taking pictures with them.

Also joining Dr Wee was MCA deputy president Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon.
